Take The Lead dog training was started by Melissa Lester to help you and your dog become best friends again. After years of volunteering with the local animal shelter, teaching Canine Good Citizen classes, and raising service dog puppies for Canine Companions for Independence, Melissa has extended her extensive knowledge of dog behavior (the good, the bad, and the ugly!) to all Austin pet dogs. Seeing dogs end up at shelters because of easily fixable problem behaviors was very frustrating. She has since successfully helped dogs and their people with many strange and problem behaviors including fear, biting, and obsessive behaviors.

Her positive dog training methods use your dog's natural instincts and love for their owners to change their behavior. She keeps her prices reasonable so that everyone can afford to keep their dogs happy!
